Our Story
Founded in 2007, Testimony began rehearsing at St. Stephens Community Center in Columbus, Ohio-- every Monday at 7PM. With 14 original members, the foundation was set for future Billboard charting and multi-award winning small-choir, Testimony.
Just three years after beginning, Testimony recorded their first project "Freedom" during an worse than expected blizzard in Columbus, Ohio. Despite the down-pouring of snow, Testimony still enjoyed a packed house. The album "Freedom" was released in December of 2010 and is still a fan favorite.
Testimony recorded their second project "Turning Point" in March 2014 at Faith Ministries Church in Columbus, Ohio. This concert featured great songs such as "Step Aside", "Keep Your Praise", and "Holy and Righteous." The album was released in September of 2015. Testimony still remembers this album in a bittersweet way as one of our charter members, Shawn Good, passed tragically during this time.
Testimony retooled and released a strong single in 2017, "Where Would I Be." This song was the first single for new self-titled album, "Testimony." The entire project released in November 2018 to rave reviews! The album earned a Billboard chart #10 debut on the Top Gospel Albums chart, and featured songs such as "I Owe God Praise", "Favor of The Lord" and the album favorite "No Doubt."
The year of 2020 proved to be a tough year for us all, dealing with a global pandemic which ceased music operations everywhere. However, Testimony braved the pandemic and released hit single "Thank You" featuring James Ziegler. This song, penned by Terrence Dooley and Antuan Walker, took the listener on a journey, ending in exuberant shouts of joy telling God 'thank you!' The song debuted #4 on the Gospel Singles chart and #2 on the itunes Christian and Gospel Charts.
Testimony recorded a brand new project in July 2021, to a packed Northland Performing Arts Center crowd in Columbus, Ohio. That album is scheduled to release in the Fall of 2022.
Testimony is known for high energy praise, and solemn worship. Above all, Testimony, as a collective group, loves Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and wishes to see Him lifted high. We welcome the opportunity to worship with you!
